Deer Run Block Party to debut Oct. 10 in Millersburg
Published September 24, 2025 - 5:00 a.m.
The Timothy Baker Amphitheater and Deer Run Park in Millersburg will come alive on Friday, Oct. 10, with the first-ever Deer Run Block Party, a one-day festival featuring live music, local vendors, food trucks, art, and community activities from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The event will showcase a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, including folk, Americana, country, blues, indie, classic singer-songwriter, and hip-hop performances. Headlining the festival will be Ezra Jeffrey, alongside talented acts such as Perry Mullen, Josh Sheets, Tim Shue and Friends, Highland Grove and Co., and Wetdogg.
Beyond the music, the Deer Run Block Party will feature a curated selection of artists, crafters, bakers, and makers sharing their handmade goods and passions. Food and beverage trucks will be on site, offering everything from hearty entrees to refreshing drinks and sweet treats. Community-led activity stations including interactive art, family games, and hands-on experiences will add to the festival’s come-and-go charm.
“The Deer Run Block Party is about gathering as a community to celebrate creativity, connection, and the simple joy of being together," event organizer Denice Hazlett said. "In a world where so much divides us, this festival is meant to remind us of what we can create when we share our talents, stories, and time with one another.”
The Timothy Baker Amphitheater, where the music will be staged, is itself a story of community spirit. Built in 2022 as an Eagle Scout project by West Holmes senior Brenna Barbey, it has received both local and national recognition, including being honored as one of the top 16 Eagle Scout projects in the country.
Admission to the Deer Run Block Party is free, and all are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a full day of music, food, and togetherness in Millersburg’s Deer Run Park.
